We appreciate your interest in the Northstar Weimaraner Club. Our club currently has about sixty member families throughout Minnesota, northern Wisconsin, and other states, with interests varying from simple pet ownership to competing in obedience, field, tracking, agility, rally and show events. The purpose of our club is to provide support and encouragement to the owners of our versatile breed, and to protect and develop the wonderful qualities of both our individual dogs and the breed as a whole.

During the year we sponsor a number of events, including a Weimaraner Specialty Show each January and August. We also sponsor AKC Spring Field Trials and Fall Hunting Tests and Ratings Tests, occasional training sessions, tracking information, an awards banquet in January held in conjunction with our annual meeting, obedience matches, and our summer All Around Day generally held in late June. We on occasion put on a fun match for those members wishing to learn more about showing their dogs. Our club meets once a month, either at members' homes or in a convenient commercial establishment with meeting facilities in the Twin Cities Area. Guests are always welcome! We have an active rescue committee, finding homes for Weimaraners who are in need of placement. Please note you will need a Northstar sponsor for membership. You are welcome and encouraged to attend meetings any time, before or after becoming a member. Before voting on new members the name is read at two meetings, so it takes about two months.
